Community Relations Programs

To strengthen relationships and trust within our community, the Willowick Police Department offers several Public/Community relations activities. Some of the programs WPD participates in are: D.A.R.E., A.L.I.C.E., Internships, Ride-a-longs, Officer Phil Program, Buckle-Down Program, Caught you Being Good, Coffee with a Cop, Trunk or Treat, Christmas with Blue, Safety Town, and Hero’s Day.

Contact Sgt. John Beckwith or Ptl. Don Slapnicker if you have any ideas or programs you would like to see your department adopt.

Drug Awareness Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.)

The Willowick Police Department offers the D.A.R.E. program to the fifth graders at the Royalview Elementary School.  This program teaches the resistance to drugs and alcohol; and the importance of being a leader, not a follower. The program is a success under the direction of
Ptl. Don Slapnicker.
