FirstEnergy’s Ohio electric companies have made significant progress restoring power to more than 310,000 customers in northeast Ohio who were impacted by Thursday night’s storm. While they continue working 24/7 to restore service, free water and ice are available to customers without power at several local Giant Eagle locations beginning at 12 p.m. today (Aug. 28), to 12 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 31), or until supplies run out.

With assistance from more than 2,000 outside resources, FirstEnergy crews continue working around the clock in 16-hour shifts to restore service to about 10,000 customers who remain without power in the region.

Customers who remain without power can pick up one bag of ice and two gallons of water free of charge at the following Giant Eagle locations:
