Help with Medicare Open Enrollment
The Lake County Council on Aging has free counseling assistance available for Medicare-eligible individuals and their caregivers during Medicare Open Enrollment which occurs annually October 15 through December 7. Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) and Medicare Advantage Plans change every year, and 2021 brings some big changes. Understanding your Medicare options can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. The Council on Aging is here to help, with trained Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) volunteers available to help you make sense of the complicated Medicare system to make the best choices for your healthcare. Due to COVID-19 and directives from Governor Mike DeWine, all Medicare reviews will be completed virtually since in-person visits are prohibited. These appointments will be held by phone or via Zoom video conferencing. Please call the Council on Aging at 440-205-8111 to schedule an appointment to review your current Medicare coverage and explore what is available for 2021.
