What are the Police Department's phone numbers? All EMERGENCIES should be called in as 911. This will, in most cases, enable the dispatcher to know the location where the call is originating. We ask that people remain on the line if 911 is called accidentally. A police officer will be dispatched, regardless, to insure that there are no problems. All non-emergency and other calls should be made to 440-585-1234.
What are the police department's hours of operation? The police department is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Where is the police department located? The Willowick Police Station is located at 30435 Lakeshore Boulevard and it is in the building directly behind the Fire Station. The police and fire dispatch center is on the first floor and immediately to the left as you enter the building. City Hall is located on the 2nd floor of the same building.

However, certain noise issues are specifically addressed. Construction work can only be done between the hours of 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Grass cutting / landscaping / similar functions are allowed between the hours of 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. In the winter, snow blowers can be used between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Garbage collection at commercial establishments is permitted from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

There is a dog running at large. Can the Police Department do anything? The police department does not have the resources to catch any animals. If a dog at large is vicious or has injured anyone, we will contact the Lake County Dog Warden and attempt to keep a visual of the animal. If the dog is not dangerous and can be caught, it can be taken to a temporary dog kennel at the Service Garage at 31419 Vine St. However, for safety and health reasons, the officers cannot transport the animals themselves.
There is an injured sick animal. What can the police do? In most cases, as with dogs at large, we cannot trap animals. If the animal poses a risk to people, such as a sick raccoon or skunk, an officer may destroy the animal in a humane manner if there are no risks. Otherwise, we or the Service Department can contact a local pest control company.
We are leaving for vacation. Are there any suggestions from the police department? We recommend that you notify the police department on our non-emergency phone line if your house will be vacant during a vacation. We maintain a log for informational purposes. The dispatcher will ask for the dates involved, any vehicles on the premises, who to contact and who will have a key and any other pertinent information in case there is a problem. A trusted neighbor or family member should also be made aware of your plans. We also ask that people notify us when they return.
My electricity went out. Can the police department do anything? In most cases, the police department will not be aware of what caused the power to go out. It may be local or general in nature. In most cases, the Cleveland Illuminating Company prefers that the affected individuals call 1-800-589-3101for any downed wires or power outages as CEI will have questions to ask that the Police Department will not be able to answer. However, if unable to make the call, the Police Department may be able to fax the information to CEI on your behalf.
